Description
No 4 Palmerston Street is an early 19th century building that is set forward from No 2 on the pavement. It is two storeys high with a slate roof that has a hip at the north end and red ridge tiles. The exterior is cement rendered. On the upper floor, there are two sash windows, each four panes wide, set in reveals. The ground floor features a central sash window with a rendered voussoir above it. To the north-west (left side), there is a door with six flush panels, where the top two panels are cut away and glazed. Behind this doorway, there is another door set in reveals, flanked by panelled pilasters, with a plain frieze and a small flat hood above. This building is part of a group of listed buildings on Palmerston Street, which includes Nos 70 to 84 (even) and 47 to 55 (odd) The Hundred.
