Description

Sawyers comprises two adjacent buildings, numbers 93 and 95, dating to the late 18th century, with number 95 possibly being earlier. Number 93 is a two-storey building with a steeply pitched roof covered in old tiles. The front is stuccoed, while the west side is weather-boarded. It has a dentilled eaves cornice. The building has two window bays and one door. The upper floor features two tall sash windows with architrave frames, lacking glazing bars. The ground floor has one smaller, similarly styled sash window. The doorway has a glazed upper portion, set within a moulded architrave frame. Number 95 is lower than number 93 and has two storeys and an attic. Covered by an old tiled roof, it features two flat-roofed dormers with two-light casement windows. The front is stuccoed. The upper floor has three two-light casement windows with architrave frames. The ground floor features two sliding sashes. A central doorway contains a six-panelled door, with the upper four panels cut away and glazed, set within shallow reveals and a doorway with an architrave, topped with a flat hood supported by shaped brackets.
