Description
No 2 on Church Street is an early 19th-century building that stands three stories tall. It features a slate roof with overhanging eaves and is finished in painted stucco. A moulded cornice runs along the second floor. On the second floor, there are two sash windows with architrave frames and no glazing bars. The first floor has three similar sash windows. The ground floor has a shop front with three lights on the right side and four lights on the left side, separated by glazing bars, along with a central doorway. Above the shop front, there is a fascia and a moulded cornice. The central door is double, with the upper part glazed and flanked by panelled pilasters that have foliated scroll brackets above. At the north end of the building, there is a five-panel door set in reveals, with the top panel cut away and glazed, and flanked by very narrow panelled pilasters with narrow foliated scroll brackets above. Nos 2 to 8 (even) form a group.
