Description
Staddle Barn and Mill, located 25 meters northwest of Manor Farmhouse, is an 18th-century building that has been altered in the 19th century. It features a timber frame that is weatherboarded, set on a brick and flint plinth with stone staddles, and has a corrugated iron roof. The barn has nine bays with projections and porches on both sides at the third bays from each end, as well as a porch at the rear of the left of center bay, which houses the mill. The front displays two projections with pent-roofed porches on six stone staddles, featuring double doors and a window at the right end. The far side has projecting hip-roofed porches on six stone staddles and a half-hipped mill built on brick walls. The interior has had the floor removed from the right two bays, and the end two bays are narrower. The roof has been significantly altered from its original queen post design, and some mill gear remains.
