Description

Knoll House is an early 19th-century house located on the west side of Broughton High Street. The house is constructed of brick, with a stucco finish, and has a slate roof. It is two stories tall, with three bays and a double-pile plan. The central entrance features a four-panel door with flush lower panels, above a rectangular fanlight incorporating a diamond and narrow red glass edge panels. The windows are 16-pane sashes on either side of the entrance, and 20-pane sashes above. Raised stucco quoins are present. The wide eaves are supported by pairs of moulded brackets. The roof is hipped, with stuccoed external end stacks; the stack on the right is capped at eaves level.
