Description

This listing describes a pair of semi-detached cottages located on the east side of Broughton High Street, dating from the early 19th century. The cottages are constructed of chequer brickwork with a slate roof. Each cottage is two storeys high and two bays wide. A planked door is situated in the outer bay, sheltered by an open gabled porch supported by tree trunks. The inner bay features a two-light cast-iron casement window set beneath a segmental brick arch. The first floor has two shorter, similarly styled windows. The roof is hipped, with a stack at each end of the ridge. A brick lean-to is attached to the left-hand side.
