Description

Quorn Cottage is a cottage dating back to the 17th century, with a later, 18th-century refronting. It has a timber-frame core, now encased in brick and with a weatherboarded store, all beneath a thatched roof. The cottage is one-and-a-half stories high and originally comprised three bays, with an outshot store to the left. A 19th-century brick-and-tile gabled porch with a planked door is located to the left of the centre bay. There are two or three-light segmental head casement windows immediately to the left of the porch, with a similar window to the left reduced to a single light. A 20th-century three-light window is found in the outshot. Above the door, eyebrow dormers contain three-light casement windows on each side. The roof is half-hipped to the right and hipped and swept down to the left, featuring a large ridge stack.
