Description

Knapp Cottage is a late 17th-century cottage, with 20th-century restoration work. It is timber-framed and thatched. The south-facing front has one storey and an attic, with 3 windows above 5. The roof is half-hipped at the west end, with the timber frame exposed in the upper gable. It features eyebrow dormers and a thatch cover to the outshot at the west side. The east gable is partly hidden by a large, tapered stack. The upper walls display exposed timber framing, while the lower walls are rendered. Casement windows are present. A boarded door is located in the west-side outshot.
