Description

This is an early 18th-century cottage incorporating a post office and stores. It is constructed of cob with a thatched roof, and is situated at an angle to the road. The south-facing elevation consists of one storey and an attic, with three windows. The roof is hipped, with a half-hipped section and a catslide at the rear. Rendered walls are exposed as framing on both the front and rear of the west side, and are outshot on the east side. The windows are casements, with the larger window serving as the shop window. A simple doorway is sheltered by a thatched canopy supported on posts, while the shop door has a tiled canopy.
