Description

Simmy's is a cottage that dates back to the 16th century and was remodeled in the 18th and 19th centuries. It features a timber frame with flint and brick infill and has a thatched roof. The original building consists of three bays, with a small central bay and hip-bays added in the 18th century. The front of the cottage has a plank door located in the right-hand hip bay, and there are two-light casements in all but the left-hand side of the central bay. Above the bays on either side of the center, there is an eyebrow dormer with a two-light casement. A chimney stack is positioned on the left side of the ridge, and the roof is hipped.
