Description

Rose Cottage is a cottage from the late 18th century that was altered and extended in the 19th century. It features bands of brick and flint, with some stone quoins and brick additions, topped by a thatched roof. The cottage has two main bays with hip bays added at each end and is one and a half stories tall. The left-hand center bay includes an open-fronted porch next to a lean-to on the left-hand bay. There are two-light casement windows in the center bays, and above the wallplate, the raised eaves have a four-light casement window to the left of the center, with two-light casement windows on each side. The roof is half-hipped, and there are stacks at each end of the original building.
