Description

Martin Cross Cottage is a cottage that dates from the 18th century and was extended in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of rendered cob and brick, topped with a thatched roof. The building consists of two sections, both two storeys high and two bays wide, with the right-hand section being lower. There is a door on the left side of the right-hand part, which is sheltered by a thatch hood supported by posts. The windows are mainly irregular 2-light casements, mostly from the 20th century. The cottage features end stacks and the roof slopes down to the right-hand part, which has an overhanging half-hip. This building is included for its group value.
