Description

This is a cottage, dating back to the 16th century, with substantial rebuilding in the 18th century. It has a timber-frame core and was rebuilt in brick, now painted, with a thatched roof. The cottage is one and a half storeys high, with two wide bays and an added hipped bay on the right-hand side. The front has a right-hand hipped bay, positioned to the right of the main bay, with a planked door beneath an open tile and timber porch. To the left is a large five-light casement window. Within the hipped bay is a three-light casement. The left-hand bay is set back, revealing exposed vertical timber at the junction. Above both bays is a three-light eyebrow dormer, while the hipped bay, with lower eaves, features a two-light casement. The roof is hipped to the right-hand side. A stack is located at the left-hand end.
