Description

Lavender Cottage is an early 18th-century cottage that was altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick with timber framing in the gables and features a thatched roof. The cottage is one and a half storeys high and has two bays, with a 19th-century lean-to on the left-hand side. To the right of the center, there is a plank door that is sheltered by a swept-down thatch hood supported by posts. Next to the door is a single light window. Each bay contains a two-light camber-head casement window, and there are two-light eyebrow dormers above them. Additionally, there is a casement window in the slate-roofed lean-to. A stack is located at the right-hand end of the cottage.
