Description

Yew Tree Cottage is a cottage with a 17th century core that was remodeled in the 18th and 20th centuries. It features a lower wall made of flint and brick, with an upper section of cob and weatherboarded gables, topped by a thatched roof. The building has three bays and a stack bay with a baffle entry. The front of the cottage has a planked door on the left-hand side of the center, set in a solid frame, and a three-light casement window in the left bay. There is a casement window in the other bays, with an oriel window to the right of the center. Above the gable, there is a four-light oriel window and a jettied gable that displays a date tablet reading '1653' along with a fire plaque above. The roof is half-hipped, and there is a stack positioned above the door.
