Description
This is an early to mid-19th century pair of stucco-fronted houses on the west side of Captains’ Row. They have wide eaves cornices and old tiled roofs. Each house has two windows to the first floor, with sash windows that retain dripstone moulds but have lost their glazing bars. There is a basement level. A paired door sits beneath a bracketed cornice and is accessed by steps with iron handrails. Dormer windows light the roof space. The listed buildings of Captains’ Row are considered to form a group with Alma Cottage, located on Grove Road.
