Description

These are two early to mid-19th century pairs of houses, each with two storeys, an attic, and a basement, providing a two-window frontage. The houses are constructed of stock brick with a stucco cornice and blocking course, topped with tiled mansard roofs and dormers. The sash windows have vertical bars; those on the ground floor have moulded architraves, console bracketed cornices, and cast iron ornamental guards, although numbers 220 and 222 have lost theirs. Six steps lead to Ionic porches, which have four-panel doors and rectangular fanlights. Numbers 212 to 226 form a group value context.
