Description

These are a pair of two-storey houses built around 1820 on Victoria Street. They are constructed of stock brick with a stone parapet and a steep slate mansard attic. Each house has two dormers with architraves. The first floor windows are glazing bar sashes, set within flat, gauged arches.

The ground floor of number 29 has been stuccoed and features a plat band. It has one window and a round-headed doorway, both set within raised surrounds. The doorway has a keystone and a door of six flush panels, a moulded doorhead, and a radial glazed fanlight. Number 31 has a pilastered shop front with a three-light window, in-curving fascia, a projecting cornice, and a glazed and panelled door. Nos 17 to 45 (odd) form a group.
