Description

These are a pair of buildings dating to around 1840, situated on Victoria Street. They are three storeys high and built of stock brick, with number 39 having a roughcast finish and number 41 rendered. Number 39 has a missing cornice, while number 41 retains a rendered cornice and blocking course. Each building has two windows on the first floor and one on the ground floor. The windows are glazing bar sashes set within stucco architrave surrounds. The entrances feature doors consisting of three flush and moulded panels, topped with rectangular fanlights, all within architrave cases. The buildings are listed due to their contribution to the wider group value of numbers 17 to 45 (odd) on Victoria Street.
