Description
Chalmar House is a mid-19th century villa that stands two storeys high with a basement and features three windows across its façade. The building is constructed of stock brick and is adorned with a stucco frieze, cornice, and blocking course, as well as a basement. The side windows are designed as full-height segmental bows, while the narrow central bay is recessed. The villa has sash windows with glazing bars, with the side bay windows being curved. These windows are set in moulded architraves, and the ground floor windows are topped with cornices. Access to the entrance is via six modern steps leading to a door with two long panels and a rectangular fanlight, all framed by a square stuccoed porch supported by pilasters.
