Description
The Lambeth Registrar of Marriages' Office is an early 19th century villa that stands three storeys high with a basement and features three windows across its façade. It is constructed of stock brick and has a stucco frieze cornice and a blocking course. The building has gauged brick arches above the sash windows, with the central window on the first floor being round and those on the ground floor set in elliptical recesses with a stone impost string. Access is provided by eight steps leading up to a prostyle Ionic porch, which supports a half-glazed four-panel door topped with a cornice head and a plain fanlight. The basement is also stuccoed.
