Description
Marlow House is a building from the second quarter of the 18th century, featuring three storeys, an attic, and a basement, with three windows. It has a high-pitched tiled mansard roof with dormers. The structure is made of stock brick, topped with a stone-coped parapet and accented with red brick dressings, including bands at the first and second floors and at the cornice level. The sash windows have gauged flat brick arches and glazing bars set in stucco-lined reveals.
On the left side, there is an added entrance extension, which now has part of a modern building above it. This extension features a six-panel door framed by a late 18th-century Doric doorcase with engaged columns. The capitals of the columns have dentils that continue from the cornice head, and there is a triglyph frieze and an open pediment above. The fanlight above the door has interlaced bars within an architrave that includes a triple key design.
