Description

Nos 224 and 226 on Dalston Lane are an early to mid-19th century pair of houses, each standing three storeys high with a basement and featuring three windows. They are constructed from stock brick and have a stone cornice and blocking course. The sash windows are topped with gauged flat brick arches and have vertical bars in stucco-lined reveals. There are ornamental cast iron guards and stone cills. Access to the modernised doors is via six steps, which are set within slightly projecting enclosed stucco porches that have round-arched entrances with architraves and moulded impost blocks. These houses, along with Nos 212 to 226, form a cohesive group.
