Description

  1. DALSTON LANE E8 5013 (North Side) --------------- No 57 TQ 3384 24/154 II

  2. Circa 1800 L-shaped house (with rear wing) of 3 storeys, 3 windows. Stock brick with stone-coped parapet, and 1st floor cill band. Stuccoed basement plinth. Gauged flat brick arches to sash windows in stucco-lined reveals, those on ground floor retaining glazing bars. Door of 7 beaded panels with side lights, cornice head and wide patterned fanlight, in quasi-Doric wood porch up 4 steps. Arch to footway at right side. Inside an elliptical arch, on bowed reeded pilasters with feathered capitals, over hallway. Some original plaster cornices, woodwork and wood carved fireplaces. Dado rails in ground floor rooms, and elliptical arched niches flanking fireplace in one. Graceful curved staircase.
