Description
Pringwell House and Cottage is a mid-19th century villa located on Hayes End Road. The entrance front features two storeys with three windows. It is constructed of stock brick with a stucco band on the first floor. The roof is low-pitched, hipped, and covered with slate, featuring bracketed eaves soffits. The first-floor sash windows, which have glazing bars, are topped with gauged flat brick arches, while the ground floor has margin lights. The entrance includes a four-panel door with a rectangular fanlight set in a moulded architrave, all sheltered by a wooden open porch with a swept lead roof. There is a similar west return with a blocked centre window on the first floor. To the right, a weatherboarded extension connects to an 18th-century stable building that projects from the main structure. This stable is made of pinkish brick and has a hipped slate roof, with round windows on the first floor and two modern casements alongside old stable doors on the ground floor.
