Description
77 and 79 Stockwell Park Road is an early to mid-19th century pair of houses that have been carefully restored. Each house has three storeys and a basement, with two windows; the outer window is in a narrower, slightly projecting entrance bay. The buildings are constructed of stock brick with a recess on the central axis. The basement and ground floor feature stucco rustication, while there is a frieze, dentil cornice, and blocking course at the top. The upper windows have moulded architraves, and there is a frieze and cornice at the centre of the first floor. The tripartite ground floor windows are adorned with console bracketed cornices. All windows are sashes with glazing bars. Access to the doors, which have six and four panels, is via six steps leading up to prostyle Ionic porches with fluted columns.
