Description
No. 56 Stockwell Park Road is a mid-19th century villa that stands two storeys high with a basement and features three windows. It has a low-pitched hipped slate roof with eaves soffit. The building is constructed of stock brick, accented with angle pilasters, and has a stuccoed basement and a cill band at the first floor. The first floor windows are topped with gauged brick arches and have moulded architraves, with console bracketed cornices beneath. All the windows are sash style, and there are ornamental cast iron guards on the ground floor. Access is provided by seven steps leading to a half-glazed four-panel door, which is framed by a moulded architrave and situated in a prostyle porch supported by square columns.
