Description
No. 53 Stockwell Park Road is part of an early to mid-19th century pair of houses. The building has three storeys and a basement, featuring one window in the main block and a two-storey set-back entrance bay. It is constructed of stock brick with a banded stucco basement and ground floor. The roof is fairly low-pitched and hipped, covered with slate and has an eaves soffit. The windows are sash with vertical bars and have moulded architraves, while the ground floor features a console bracketed cornice. There are five steps leading up to a half-glazed four-panel door, which is set back behind a stuccoed entablature surround. This building is included for its group value with the adjacent properties.
