Description
Nos 48 and 48A on Stockwell Park Road is an early to mid-19th century small villa that stands two storeys high with a basement and features three windows. The building is constructed of greyish yellow brick, with a stuccoed basement, a first-floor cill band, and a frieze. It has angle pilasters topped with stuccoed capitals. The roof is fairly low-pitched and hipped, covered with slate and has deep eaves soffits. The windows have moulded architraves and modern casements, with the centre window on the first floor featuring an eared design and console bracketed cornices on the ground floor. There are six steps leading up to a four-panel door, which is set back behind a moulded architrave and surrounded by an entablature.
