Description

The Church of St Michael, built between 1840 and 1841 by William Rogers, is a notable example of 19th-century architecture. Constructed from stock brick with freestone dressings, it features an elongated lancet style typical of the period. The main structure is a rectangular block with set-back aisles. At the east end, there is a small projecting octagonal tower adorned with spirelets at the corners, gabled sides, and a stone spire. Additionally, the church has projecting one-storey lobbies that were added in 1844.
