Description
Highgate United Reformed Church is a Congregational church and former school room built in 1859 by T Roger Smith. The church features a street-facing front made of Bath stone ashlar and is designed in the Decorated style. It has a gabled front and includes a vestry or school room with a short octagonal tower topped with a spire on the left side. The west front is buttressed at the corners and in the center, with two entrances on either side of a central buttress. These entrances are adorned with gabled hood-moulds and are connected by blind arcading. Above each entrance, there are paired tall lancet windows with traceries, and a rose window is situated in the apex of the gable. The interior has not been inspected.
