Description
Institution Cottage is the gardener's cottage of Church House, South Grove, located behind the Highgate Literary and Scientific Institute at No. 11 South Grove. This late 18th-century building is constructed of brown brick and features a slated hipped roof. It stands two storeys tall with a later attic and has a double front on the south side, which includes three windows. The entrance has a square-headed doorway with a segmental gauged brick arch and an architrave. The windows are slightly recessed sashes with segmental arches and exposed boxing, and there is a parapet above. The interior has not been inspected but is noted to retain some panelling.
