Description
Southwood Lodge, located at No 52 Southwood Lane in Highgate, is a house dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is two storeys tall with an attic and features three windows. The building is constructed of stock brick and has a stuccoed frieze cornice and blocking course, topped by a slated mansard roof. The main front is situated on the right side as you approach from the road. The head front is stuccoed and mostly blocked, with only a central entrance and two modern windows visible, along with three dormers. The main front has gauged flat brick arches over sash windows with glazing bars, which have been replaced, set in stucco-lined reveals. There is a modern glazed door with a fanlight, and a fire insurance sign can be seen on the first floor. Additionally, the garden front features a prostyle Doric porch. The property is currently divided into two separate residences.
