Description
Gardener's Cottage is an 18th-century cottage and outbuilding located on the south side of Tysoe Road in Radway. The structure is built of coursed ironstone and features a thatched roof with a coped gable parapet on the left and a hipped roof on the right, while the rear has a tiled roof and a brick ridge stack. The building is not of one construction phase and has an L-plan with a wing extending to the rear on the left. It is a single storey with an attic and has a two-window range. The entrance on the right includes a 20th-century part-glazed plank door. There is a large four-light casement window with glazing bars, and the first floor features a large swept half-dormer with two two-light casements. Most openings have painted wood lintels. The outbuilding on the left has double-leaf plank garage doors and small single lights on either side. There is a 19th-century lean-to on the right with a slate roof, a blocked doorway, and a 20th-century casement window. The rear of the building is irregular and has a tile roof. The interior has not been inspected.
