Description
Nos 21 to 27 on Stockwell Park Road are mid-19th century villas, each featuring two storeys and a basement with three windows. They are constructed of stock brick with a stuccoed basement. The roofs are fairly low-pitched and hipped, covered with slate, and have eaves soffits. The first-floor sash windows are adorned with gauged flat brick arches, most of which include margin lights. The ground floor features moulded architraves with a frieze and cornice, along with an incised panel below. There are five steps leading up to the doors, which consist of four beaded panels set in a moulded architrave, positioned behind a stuccoed entablature surround. Notably, No 27 has a blue plaque from the Greater London Council commemorating Lilian Baylis, who lived and died there from 1874 to 1937.
