Description

These are a pair of tall houses dating to around 1840, each three storeys high with a basement, and featuring two windows in the main block. They are set back from a two-storey entrance bay. The houses are constructed of stucco with incised lines, and feature rusticated quoins. They have an enriched cornice below bracketed eaves, a hipped slate roof with a central chimney wall. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set within moulded architraves. The ground floor windows have console bracketed cornices, and there is a projecting mutuled cornice at the first-floor cill level. Access is provided by six steps. Number 24 has a circa 1900 door and fanlight framed in a rusticated panel with a Doric order; there is a blank wall above and a small addition to the right. Number 26 has a similar treatment to its four-panel door, but a modern window has been inserted above.
