Description

This is a mid-19th century pair of houses situated on Clifton Crescent in Folkestone. The houses are three storeys high with a basement and attics, and are constructed of stucco. They have a slate mansard roof with four dormers, one of which is double, and two further dormers on a second attic storey. The elevation features two sash windows and two three-light windows across all floors. Rusticated quoins are present, and stringcourses run between the floors. The second floor windows are round-headed. The first floor windows are surrounded by architraves, with the central windows above featuring pediments and the side windows having cornices. Iron flower guards are positioned at the ground and first floor windows. The ground floor windows have cambered heads with keystones, while the round-headed doorcases are set within rusticated surrounds. The properties are part of a group which includes numbers 1 to 11 (odd), number 12B, and numbers 15 to 31 (odd).
