Description

These are a pair of mid-19th century terraced houses on Clifton Crescent, Folkestone. They are three storeys high with attics and a basement and are faced in stucco. The roofs are slate with a Mansard form, featuring four dormers. The front elevation has two three-light canted bays extending through all floors, along with two curved windows on the corners. A wide eaves cornice runs along the top of the building, and string courses divide the floors. The first-floor centre windows within the canted bays are topped with pediments. The first-floor corner windows are accentuated by cornices and brackets. Cast iron flower guards are affixed to the ground and first-floor windows. Balconies are present on the bay windows. Doorcases are integrated into the side elevations. Nos 2 to 22 (even numbers) are considered a group.
