Description

The Manor House, built around 1900, was constructed for the Earl of Radnor. It is a two-storey building with attics and a basement, constructed of red brick with a green slate roof. The building exhibits a generally Scottish baronial style, with a prominent turret on the right side featuring a conical roof. A central gable is adorned with bargeboards and a pendant, and there are two pedimented gables. The windows are irregular, employing mullioned and transomed designs, and a porch is approached via a staircase with four round-headed arches supported by Tuscan columns. The rear elevation includes an attic storey featuring applied timber framing with plaster infill, along with two projecting gables with pendants and finials, one gablet, and a three-light pedimented gable. A crow-stepped gable is on the right side, while the left side features a two-storey projecting bay with balustrading above. There are five mullioned and transomed casement windows throughout the building, as well as a conservatory on the left side.
