Description
The Burlington Hotel, dated 1893, is a three-storey building with a basement and attics, constructed of red brick with tiled dressings. The basement is made of stone. The windows are primarily mullioned and transomed casements. On the left side elevation, there are two curved gables topped with ball finials, featuring four four-light bays and two two-light bays. A tiled balustrade separates the semi-basement from the ground floor, and the building has a tiled roof.
The front elevation also showcases two curved gables and includes a total of eleven windows, mostly in the form of mullioned and transomed casements, with configurations of two, three, and four lights. There are two doorcases; the one on the left is set in a round-headed tiled surround, flanked by pilasters and topped with a strapwork frieze dated 1893, which is further surmounted by a blank panel with two console brackets. The other doorcase features a round-headed surround with pilasters.
