Description
41 and 43 Lorn Road is a mid-19th century pair of houses, each three storeys high with a basement. They feature a slightly set back two-storey outer entrance bay, with an additional storey added to No 43. The buildings are constructed of stock brick, with a stucco basement and ground floor. The ground floor has banded rustications that form the voussoirs for the segment-headed windows. There is a stucco frieze, dentil cornice, and a blocking course. The sash windows have moulded architraves, with some including margin lights. Access to the doors, which have two large panels, is via five steps leading up to Ionic prostyle porches supported by fluted columns and topped with a dentil cornice. These houses are included for their group value.
