Description
Nelson House, also known as Ingleside, is an 18th-century building located on the south side of Nelson Place. It is constructed of painted brick and features a modillion brick eaves cornice and a hipped, tiled roof. The building has an L-shaped layout and consists of three storeys with four windows, one of which is blank on the top floor of Ingleside. The windows are sashes with glazing bars. Nelson House includes a round arched doorway with a semi-circular fanlight and a door with six moulded panels. Ingleside has a doorway adorned with engaged columns, a projecting cornice, and a six-panelled door. This building is part of a group with Shipyard House and Nelson Cottage on Bath Road, as well as Alma Cottage on Grove Road.
