Description

Bracken and Brackens Flat is an early 18th-century building that was originally one house. It features a red brick facade with a brick eaves cornice and an old tiled roof. The structure is two storeys high with an attic and has seven windows. The south end includes a later brick bow with two windows, although the glazing bars are intact except in this section. The doorway is adorned with pilasters, a pediment, and a door made up of six fielded panels, of which the top two are now glazed. At the north end, there is an early 20th-century two-storey, one-window projecting wing. This building is part of a group with Alma Cottage on Grove Road.
