Description

Captains House is an early to mid 18th century building located on the west side of Captains' Row. It features a red brick facade and a tiled roof, with a large central chimney. The house has two storeys and an attic, with four windows and two dormers. The windows are sashes with glazing bars. Former doorways in the facade have been replaced by windows, and the main doorway has been moved to the side facade. Captains House is part of a group of listed buildings that includes Alma Cottage on Grove Road.
