Description
St John's House is an 18th-century red brick house located on the west side of Writtle St John's Green. The building has two storeys and attics, featuring a three-window range with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars set in plain reveals. The central window is distinguished by a semi-circular head. The entrance boasts a central doorway with a semi-circular fanlight adorned with radial glazing bars, framed by a doorcase that includes reeded pilasters and an open pediment. The roof is tiled and includes three hipped dormers. This house is part of a group of listed buildings in St John's Green.
