Description

20 The Green is an 18th century timber-framed and plastered house that was renovated in the 20th century. The building has two storeys and features a three-window range with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars. A central 20th century glazed door is topped by a semi-circular fanlight with ornamental glazing bars, and it is framed by a doorcase with pilasters and an open pediment supported by console brackets. The roof is hipped and double-pitched, covered with tiles. The front of the house is enclosed by early 19th century cast iron railings that have arched heads, along with a gate and gateposts. All the listed buildings around The Green form a group, and nearby buildings of local interest include Nos 8, 10, 38, 52, and 25.
