Description
The Leets is a building with a frontage dating from the 18th century or early 19th century, likely built over an earlier timber-framed and plastered house. The upper part of the structure is plastered, while the lower part features weatherboarding. It was renovated in the 20th century and stands two storeys tall.
The house is divided into two sections. The western part has four windows, featuring double-hung sashes; the ground floor windows have glazing bars, while the first-floor windows are three-light with single vertical glazing bars. The ground floor includes a canted bay at the eastern end, a six-panel door with a small fanlight, deep panelled reveals, and a doorcase adorned with fluted pilasters and a pediment.
The eastern part has three windows on the north front and five on the west front, also with double-hung sashes and glazing bars. The ground floor here features two canted bays and a central six-panel door with a cornice hood supported by brackets on the north front. On the west front, there is a doorway with a semi-circular fanlight, pilasters, and an open pediment on brackets. The roof is tiled, with the western part having a lower eaves level and a hipped end.
The listed buildings surrounding The Green form a cohesive group, with Nos 8, 10, 38, 52, and 25 being of local interest.
