Description

Ropers Hall is a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered house that has undergone alterations and additions in the 18th century and later, with 20th-century renovations. It is two storeys high. The south-east front has a two-window range, featuring double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. A central six-panel door, with the upper panels glazed, is set within a doorcase with pilasters and a cornice. The north-east front features casement windows with leaded lights. A projecting central section has a bay window on the ground storey. The roof is tiled and hipped. The house forms a group with Nos. 9 and 12 and Nos. 1 to 3 (consec.) in Romans Place.
