Description
No 2 Romans Place is an 18th-century house featuring a front made of red and blue brick. The building is two storeys high with attics and has three windows, which are double-hung sashes with glazing bars set in flush cased frames. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door framed by a doorcase with pilasters, a moulded semi-circular arch, a blocked fanlight, and a cornice. There is a raised brick band that runs between the storeys. At the rear, gabled wings extend from the main structure. The roof is tiled and includes three gabled dormers that serve the entire block. No 2, along with Nos 1 to 3 and Nos 9 and 12 Lodge Road, forms a cohesive group.
