Description

Palletts Farmhouse is an 18th-century red brick house situated on the east side of Newport High Street. It is two storeys high with an attic, and has a three-window front. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars set in shallow reveals. A central six-panel door is flanked by panelled reveals, has a moulded architrave, and is topped with a dentilled pediment. The ground storey features two canted bays with dentilled cornices. The roof is tiled and of a mansard form, punctuated by three flat-headed dormer windows. A wood modillion eaves cornice runs along the roofline, and there are end chimney stacks.
